(More customer reviews)Bionic Commando: Rearmed is a remake of one of the most revered NES games of all time. Rather than just make the graphics prettier for the update, developer Grin added more enemies, weapons, and gameplay elements, making BCR my personal favorite retro-remake.
You don't have to be a fan of the NES game in order to enjoy BCR. Its unique gameplay (instead of jumping from platform to platform, you use a bionic arm to swing) still feels completely fresh and satisfying. The graphics are amazing, and the music is some of the best I have heard in ANY video game in years. It's truly amazing stuff.
At $10, BCR is a steal. It demonstrates how ALL remakes of classic games should be handled, and it is one of the best values among downloadable titles.
