The Hunt Review

Pretty much reminds me of grand theft auto on the ps2 with the hunting theme instead of criminal theme. Graphics arent great at all for next gen system but i can look past it since i grew up playing nintendo and thought super nintendo was the greatest thing ever. Gameplay is decent. you go from location to location hunting doin certain animals making sure not to kill over the limit of tags you have. I am no hunter so i cant say how accurate the feel is but it is def fun and the time really passes. You can be in a location for hours trying to find rare bucks or the special animal of that area. pretty fun all and all. Wish there was a run button but i guess they figure since there is an atv you dont need it

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 Review

I have had this game for Xbox 360 for a few weeks now and it is amazing! At first it was hard for me to use on my 32 inch lcd tv but we upgraded to the 73" tv and this game rocks! Story mode is kind of hard for me to play but I like the galleries much more anyway so I just stick to those. Graphics are great and really clear. The top shot elite controllers work really well and acurate. Its just fun all the way around. So glad I decided to get the xbox game and not the plug in to tv game. I havent played the plug in to tv game but from the stuff I read it had glitches. I just purchased two more cabelas hunting games for the 360 and cant wait to play them! Anyone who says this game is crap just has their standards set too high for the type of game it is. 5 stars!

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 Review

I've played a few hunting games over the years, they are usually fun for a while, then they get pretty boring. There has never been a hunting game with a story until Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011. The story along with the Top Shot Elite make this a very fun game. You start out in North America for a few action packed levels, then the action moves to an African Safari. First I will talk about the new gun the Top Shot Elite. It comes with a a wireless sensor bar similar to the Wii. Now you make think that you aim directly at the screen but thats not the case, you aim towards the sensor bar, it takes a little getting use to but once you get used to it, it works flawlessly, the target reticle is solid and never moves around. I can't begin to tell you how fun and satisfying it is to shoot leopards as they come out of trees, and reloading constantly, pumping like a shotgun. The action in this game is constant, and there is a huge variety of animals that you kill. The graphics are very good in this game, lots of beautiful scenery in the African safari, this is the best looking hunting game I've seen. Apart from the epic story, there is also shooting galleries and online multiplayer. The shooting galleries are pretty fun, almost kind of like natzi zombies. Constant animals that come up that you have to shoot very quickly. I can't say I have played online multiplayer yet, because I'm still playing the story. All in all if you are looking for something different, and something you can just pick up and play this would be the game for you. Shooting feels very natural and fun with the Top Shot Elite. Even if you have never played a hunting game before I think you would find this fun and a welcome change from the standard first person shooter.
