(More customer reviews)This cable worked OK when I put it in the two receptacles but would not stay connected. Some times it lost connection on its own and it always lost connection if either unit moved. Spend a little more and get a better cable. I did that and the next cable worked better.

(More customer reviews)I use the switch to toggle between a Dish receiver and a DVD player (inputs) to a home theater system (output). It worked well for a while, but then the cheap plastic construction resulted in intermittent failures. I took it apart and was surprised how simple it was. Anyway, I found that the output "socket" was no longer solidly fixed in its position so that it would not align consistently with its receiving "plug". I glued it in place with a bit of MarineTex epoxy and all has been well since.

I was a little hesitant on buying it at first because of past products I've purchased that were mad catz but I decided to get it anyways, and I sure did make the right choice. The sound is so much better than using my tv speakers. It makes playing video games a hole new experience and its going to be great for when netflix comes out on xbox live. I wish I would have got this a long time ago.

RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to use optical audio out with HDMI on my xbox. With this dongle plugged in, my XBOX restarts if I switch inputs on my monitor or switch the monitor off then back on. Xbox acts normal without the dongle plugged in.
I found that these non-genuine versions are missing a connection between pins inside the connector. Google "xbox hdmi optical restart" and look for an avsforum result. You will need to connect two pins via a wire or soldering.
I have filed a complaint on my purchase so we'll see if I can get a refund since it does not work as it should.
