This cable worked OK when I put it in the two receptacles but would not stay connected. Some times it lost connection on its own and it always lost connection if either unit moved. Spend a little more and get a better cable. I did that and the next cable worked better.

I purchased this game in order to play a cooperative game with my 7 year old son. It's very similar in game play to the Lego games. We are having a good time with it. It's not going to be a good fit for older players looking for a challenge, but it's a fun little diversion and it is priced right.

Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Gaming Headset Review

Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Gaming Headset
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When i started to shop around for a gaming headset, i mostly heard about two main brands: Turtle Beach and Triton. Many people say that you can't go wrong with either. But, while shopping around, I came across Sharkoon. There really isn't much online in regards to this headset, so i figured i would check out their higher-end headset. (The X-Tatic 5.1 with surround sound) This headset received fantastic reviews across the boards. I figured if the company made quality headsets, i would check out the x-tatic sp...even without any reviews online. And i am not disappointed.
What made me reluctant to go with the Turtle Beach PX21 headset is how it looked. It was not very sexy. The Triton AX-180 looked nice, but it was $80. Since the x-tatic sp was $10 cheaper, i figured i would check them out. Not only is the sound excellent and crisp, but the headset is extremely comfortable and is continuously comfortable for long periods of time (which is important for a gaming headset). My brother has the Triton AXPROs and he loved this headset. (for those of you who don't know, the AXPROs have surround sound and are the top of the line Tritons) Why spend more than double the money to get surround sound when you can get a great sounding headset at this price range? And, for those of you who doubt the price of a stereo gaming headset, it is totally worth the price. I have never used one before while gaming...and it makes a total difference. People aren't lying when they say they hear things they didn't hear before. Its true! When you run by trees/brush you hear the rustle as you run by. You hear footsteps. Gun fire and other sounds help you locate where the shots are being fired so you can find the enemy. Even without a 5.1 surround sound headset (which really only refers to the amount of speakers in the ear cup to produce that surround sound feeling) you hear the sounds as if you were in the middle of the action. Shooting games just feel like they were made to be played with a headset like this.
So, if you are in the market for a stereo gaming headset, i can't knock the Turtle Beachs or Tritons, but i can definitely say that these would not disappoint. Great sound quality and comfortability...all you need in a gaming headset!

How much can you say about plastic xbox 360 game holders, they work great and fit nicely in my area I have made for my Xbox 360. I was suprised and happy to find out that when you place an order for these, you will get 2 game holders in 1 package, which means you can hold up to 20 games, 10 games each with each holder. Makes it much easier to find a particular game since they are standing up, and you can read the titles, then have them in stacks all over your entertainment center.

AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (6.5 Feet/2.0 Meters) Review

AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (6.5 Feet/2.0 Meters)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It is a relief to find HDMI cables that are inexpensive and deliver high quality video. I paid $40 for a 4ft cable at Circuit City a year ago, and less than half that price for the 10ft cable from Amazon.
As an electrical engineer I can tell you copper is copper. Unless Monster cable has coaxial wire for each signal line, which they don't because then the cable would be 10x larger than it is, then it's just copper wire inside a shield. There's still going to be crosstalk and capacitive coupling and all that stuff. All that "gas filled" stuff doesn't matter either. If you look at the mathematical equasions for the frequency response of an unshielded wire, you'd know none of this stuff makes any major difference.
The biggest thing to avoid, if you can, are ferrite cores on a cable. Ferrite cores are those black blob things that overmold the cable near one or both of the connectors. Ferrite cores act as high frequency filters and may cause signal degradation. They are typically used to comply with FCC laws and other regulatory bodies' radiated emissions laws. They add cost to the cable and typically degrade performance.
Regarding expensive cables, HDMI or otherwise, what no one asks is the most fundamental question - Why? Let's assume Monster cable isn't lying and they can provide 300 GHz bandwidth or whatever they claim. Why do you need a cable that outperforms so much? It's like owning a car that can go 1000 MPH but the speed limit is 55MPH. In my field, that's called "over-engineering" which equates to unnecessary additional cost, which is exactly the problem Amazon has solved by sourcing this simple low cost HDMI cable.
While I'm soapboxing, gold plating isn't necessary either. Silver is the best conductor, followed by Copper, and then Gold (third best). Stainless Steel isn't far behind. The only reason gold plating is "better" is Gold does not corrode (but neither does stainless steel... they actually gold plate the stainless steel, how dumb is that?). If you are using your cables in a house where the humidity & temp is relatively constant, you should never need gold. As far as I can tell, Gold is just a gimmick to charge more for cables.

Rock Band Drum Skins, Fits Xbox 360 / PS3 / PS2 / WII Rockband Drums - Hoochie
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love the way that this product enhances my otherswise ho-hum looking RB Drums! At first I was a little intimidated about putting them on straight. I didn't want them to look crooked. But once I got started, I found that I could just peel off a small portion of the adhesive backing, get it lined up where I wanted, then snug down the uncovered portion of the adhesive, and then peel off the rest of the backing, and press it into place! Worked like a charm!
This product does not interfer with my playing ability at all, and while I won't say that it improved it any either, I will say that it kicked up my level of fun while I play with a great customized look! Your friends will be impressed too!

Xbox 360 Energizer Power and Play Charging System - Black

I have had 2 plug in play charger batteries die. The controllers would still work, as long as they were plugged into the xbox. I have 3 plug n play charge cables, and 2 xboxs. The problem exists on em all, so I know the problem was in the batteries. After one charge on this my batteries will hold a full charge again!!! Just got this yesterday, if it turns out I made this review early I will edit this post. But as of 24 hours after receiving this I couldn't be happier. Plus I like star trek and this thing looks like it could go warp 11. HAHA (yeah I know, physically impossible. Way to ruin a great joke!!!)PS I saw a review saying the headset charger wasn't there. Well you may have accidentally thrown it away!!! It is a small piece that is optional, one end plugs into power cord and other end plugs into the base where the power cord would normally go. It is totally there, and good thing cause I bought a used wireless headset for $5 cause dude lost the charger. And it works just fine now. Its the whole reason I bought this.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters Review

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you expect to get a full game for the $60.00 price, then you should pass on this game. EA has decided to pack this game with "micro-transactions". In past Tiger games, you would have options to purchase additional courses that were separate from the overall game. This was a nice option for some people that wanted to try out some new courses. In this years Masters Edition, they have incorporated several courses into the game that you need to purchase in order to play through the PGA season. You can 'skip' these events, but you will miss out on several events in the PGA season that the CPU players are able to play in. This will be the last Tiger Woods game I purchase until EA gets their act together. This game should not be sold at full price and EA knows it. You would need to pay $100.00 (maybe more) to get the courses that are inlcuded in the regular season events. The way EA is going, I would not be surprised if the next Madden game has you paying to unlock teams, playoffs, or whatever else they can come up with.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Review

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have never played a Castlevania game before, so I was hesitant to buy this at first. However, each trailer I saw for this game looked great and when I played the demo, it kinda reminded me of God of War 2 (one my most favorite games of all time), so I had to give this one a shot. After I finished it once, here is what I thought.
PROS.
SOLID AND FLAWLESS ACTION: The combat system in this game is just perfect. Last time I enjoyed punishing enemies was in Devil May Cry games. Everything works just as you want to. Controls respond very well. Tactical use of dark and light magic adds whole new dimension to the combat. Once you master the different moves, the joy you get punishing the enemies using them, is just indescribable.
SPECTACULAR SUSPENSEFUL STORY: It has been a while since I have experienced a story in the game that makes me go wow. While the game does starts out a bit abruptly, things will make sense in the end. Don't want to spoil much.
UNANITICIPATED AFTER CREDIT ENDING: If you are familiar with character names than you may see this after the credits ending I am talking about, but I sure as hell did not see it coming. I was very surprised by it and quite frankly could not get this ending (LONG VIDEO) out of my head for days. Don't want to spoil much, but please FINISH THE GAME, trust me, after the credits will make it worth your while.
BEAUTIFUL GRAPHICS AND ANIMATION: This game will make you go through jungles, valley, barren towers, huge castles etc. etc. Frankly, they are very nicely designed and the game looks great in 720p.
GREAT VARIETY IN ENEMY: It has been a while I have seen SO MANY different types of enemies in the same game. Different types of werewolves, vampires, goblins, deads and other creatures I can't remember names of. All of these gothically designed. I am telling you artwork in this game is just magnificent.
RIDING HUGE ENEMIES GAMEPLAY: I personally loved it. Once you weaken huge enemies such as big warewolves, spiders etc, YOU CAN RIDE THEM. Use them to unleash devastating attacks, solve puzzle etc. etc. Truly remarkable.
TONS OF CHALLENGING BOSSES: Slaughtering hordes and hordes of enemies and moving forward in the game will reward you with some really compelling boss battles. Just like levels and small fry enemies, these bosses are also very aesthetically animated. To me boss battle was the third strongest aspect of the game (after story and art). As soon as I defeated a boss, I look forward to the next one. Such anticipation and mysterious story really drives you forward in this game.
ACROBATIC GAMEPLAY AND PUZZLES: If you like puzzles there are tons and tons of them in this game. If you don't like puzzles no worries. Spend your experience points and you don't have to solve them. HOW WONDERFUL IS THAT? I salute this game for providing that option. Genius! The acrobatic gameplay, which would be hanging from cliff, then jumping from cliff to cliff, is pretty good. Kind of like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time games. What I particularly found interesting was use of the chain to do acrobats. There points in the game you can jump off of cliffs, use chains to hang somewhere, use the momentum of chain to break through weak structures etc. You have to play it to get a feel for what I am saying.
UPGRADABLES AND HIDDEN ITEMS: In this game you can buy new combat moves and upgrade them by trading your experience. While most of the moves can be purchased through the first gameplay (assuming you don't trade experience for solving puzzles), to get all moves and all hidden items, you will have to play different chapters in the game over again.
TREMENDOUS REPLAYABILITY: The game itself is long enough. If you want to go for 100% of the items, it will even take longer since you will have to revisit chapters and use your upgrades. In addition it comes with 4 different difficulty levels and a minigame. This will keep you engage for a long while.
OH DID I MENTION FREE CASTLEVANIA SOT GAME WITH THIS GAME?
CONS.
MINOR ISSUES WITH PUZZLES: Honestly the only con I found in this game was I was too used to God of War 2 controls. Because of that I was stuck in puzzles such as clocktower puzzle. Fortunately I figured out the difference in controls and was able to solve the puzzle. An example: In clocktower puzzle, ever time I tried to raise a platform, it would rise halfway and then fall as my character would let go of the lever contrary to the fact that I was holding the button. THE KEY IS TO LET GO OF R2(or L2 whichever is to hold the lever) once you hold the lever. The character will hold it himself without you having to hold the button. Other than this I think some puzzles are a bit too challenging. But again every one of them is solvable and if not, YOU CAN ALWAYS SOLVE THEM BY TRADING EXPERIENCE.
CONCLUSION:
I frankly am quite impressed by this game. As listed above, Pros. easily outweighs Cons. My score for this game would be 9.5/10. God of War, Prince of Persia and Devil May Cry fans, THIS IS A MUST BUY. Only thing I recommend is play it on the hardest mode possible for those of who are veteran to God of War type of games.

Chrome Skulls on Black WraptorSkinz Skin fits XBOX 360 & PS3 Guitar Hero III Les Paul Controller (GUITAR NOT INCLUDED) Review

Chrome Skulls on Black WraptorSkinz Skin fits XBOX 360 and PS3 Guitar Hero III Les Paul Controller (GUITAR NOT INCLUDED)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
In my opinion, a black backgrounded faceplate skin is the best to get for the Les Paul, since it blends it nice and sweet as if it's not even a decal at all. The decal is in very good quality, if you place it on the guitar crooked, then dont be afraid to peel it off and try again, it will not rip. The picture itself it pretty clear and vivid. I got like one or two very small air bubbles, unless a light is reflecting on it you wont see them. I would recommend this Guitar skin as well as any other decals since they are all the same quality.
PS: I saw a review on another Les Paul faceplate, and he said that he thought it was an actual case that wraps around it. NO, IT'S NOT! IT'S A STICKER! that is all. Thank you.

Terminator: Salvation Review

Terminator: Salvation
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This game was pretty good. I'll get the complaints out of the way first.
First complaint, The game should have been titled "Terminator Loading" because there was a ridiculous amount of loading screens.
Complaint number two, it only took me about 4 or 5 hours to beat on hard difficulty and the game just came out today. I'll admit though most games aren't long enough to warrant the 60 dollar price tag so I kinda expected a little let down there.
Enough complaining. The game play was fun. You can instantly see some gears of war influence. Not saying it is quite as good as gears but it's the freakin Terminator. Sorry no Arnold and John Conner doesn't look like Batman. Big deal. The weapon choice is scant. To be honest most of them only tickle the enemies but they are war machines so it adds to the intensity of some of the fire fights. If you play this game play it on hard difficulty. You might throw your controller once or twice but it will make the game last longer. Sorry no online multiplayer. Split screen co-op only. Hope this was useful.

Story Terminator: Salvation is a prequel to the events of the major motionpicture of the same name. It is two years after Judgment Day--the date thatthe Terminator mythology assigns to the nuclear event that the machineswill rain down on planet Earth--and what's left of humanity is caught ina life and death struggle against that same machine intelligence that sprungto life from the former defense super computer known as Skynet. Yet thingsare not quite what the the earlier chapters in the Terminator saga had predictedfor these days. Although over the last two years human survivors of thecatastrophe have prepared and organized themselves for the ongoing battlewith the machines, John Connor, the character that the player assumes, hasyet to emerge as the legendary hero he was foretold to be, and time is runningout. In its early nuclear strikes against humanity, Skynet damaged partof itself. It has spent the last two years rebuilding its strength as well in orderto complete its mission of the extermination of the human race. Now is thetime to strike back at the machines. Now is the time for you and John Connorto take command. Gameplay and Co-op Support Action in Terminator: Salvation is from a third-person perspectiveand relies heavily on the use of cover. Correspondingly players will beable to lock on to cover, dive or slide from one cover point to the nextand fire weapons without exposing themselves to return fire, but thisdoesn't mean that combat is easy. Cover is fully destructible in the game, meaning that your mechanical enemies will attempt to take that advantageaway from you if they recognize that you are dug in. They will also makeevery attempt to flank your position. These two points are important becauseTerminator: Salvation forces you to take care of yourself in itssingle player campaign by not featuring a health regeneration system betweencheckpoints (health is fully restored at the end of survived levels). But healthcan be regenerated during combat via an AI or human teammate anytime whenplaying in the game's local co-op mode. The ability to team up in co-opmode is also a major aspect of gameplay in that it allows players to turnthe tables on terminator units by flanking them and attacking their lessheavily armored sides rather than head on. Both single player and co-opmodes also feature access to vehicles which can be battled from as well. Key Features
Terminator Mythology - Set two years prior to the upcoming Terminator Salvation film, play as John Connor for the first time and continue the epic fiction of the Terminator mythology.
Intelligent Robotic Enemies - Unrelenting and incredibly resilient iconic enemies from the Terminator franchise fight to the bitter end on land and in the sky.
Destructible Cover Gameplay - Advanced cover mechanics allowsyou to use the destructible environment as protection and strategicallynavigate through enemy entrenched territory. The cover mechanic's multifaceteddesign changes the way "cover" gameplay is executed.
Diverse Weaponry - Utilize a wide array of advanced weapons including shotguns, fully automatic machine guns, huge mounted weaponry, grenades, rocket-launchers, and even a plasma-firing Skynet tank.
Rugged Vehicle Battles - Pursue, attack, or evade enemies through post-apocalyptic environments on foot or inside rugged armored vehicles in extremely kinetic and extensive cinematic gun battles.
2-Player Local Co-op Mode - Battle through post-Judgment Day LA with a friend in local co-op play.

Madden NFL 11 Review

Madden NFL 11
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I, like most, have been a huge Madden fan throughout the history of the game but I learned a very valuable lesson early on; NEVER BUY BACK TO BACK YEARS!! NEVER!! I did. And I'm sorry for it.
Madden 10 was pretty good, I thought NCAA 10 was better and after playing the demo for 11 I was hooked. I wanted the updated rosters, I wanted gameflow and I was really getting use to the new running scheme. What I figured out after I bought the game was how much the hype failed. Gameflow is ask Madden without pushing buttons. You can always go in and make custom game plans, which I think is a really cool idea, but this takes forever. You're just as good off using the playbook during game play, at least then you have every play you want without forming habits. No complaints with the running game, I think it's pretty solid. If I had a complaint it would be that it is far to easy. I'm no Madden God but this running game makes me feel like one. Passing is hit and miss. I LOVE receivers staying in bounds for the catch or dragging their feet, but that is IF they catch the ball. So many times I've thrown a ball (from a highly rated QB) to an open, slant route running receiver (also highly rated) just to watch the ball bounce in front of him. How about a one handed catch? How about a dive? Where is my coach "give me more effort!!!" button?? The D pad option is just horid. Whoever in game development had that brain storm of an idea should be beaten. On offense it's barely "ok" and I only say that because you can control the clock. On defense it's almost impossible. Just trying to change out of a play is cutting it close, let alone pushing a d pad to cover a certain receiver, ball snaps before I'm ready every time.
Defense goes a little something like this. Open Madden 10, select all, copy, paste to Madden 11....ad D pad frustration. If a developer is reading this....you're an idiot. We don't pay this much money for cut and paste options, and as soon as EA sports stops buying out NFL rights I will never buy another Madden game again. I love defense and I hate that EA hasn't made defense a priority in years. Superstar is another cut and paste job. That portion of the game could be so much better and I've waited for so long to see it evolve. EA sports, I hate you. Franchise is also cut and paste, also another game option that could be amazing through and through.
Online. First off, I never play online. I can understand why some do, I'm honestly not good enough to play against the big boys. But this doesn't stop EA sports from driving me crazy. Nope, this year you must pay for the privilege of playing online, after already paying for the privilege from x-box. Nicely done EA, I loath you. So even though I do not play online, if I want future roster updates I sure will have to pay for it. But that's not all....want dumb coins to buy fake football cards? Better buy those too. Want to have an edge on your franchise? Better buy those options as well. Games are expensive enough. I love game addons like the next game junkie but c'mon man! No other game on the market does this. Fable 3 isn't going to put out a new game every year, make you pay for all the cool stuff while at the same time pushing out a crap product. There would be anarchy on the streets!!!! Madden does it year after year.
The graphics are great, as always, and the Superbowl finally got a face lift. All in all I think it would be a good game if I had gone a few years without purchasing a new Madden. If that sounds like you, or you're waiting for something to push you over the homicidal edge, I bet you'll love the game. If you see a used Madden 11 game on Amazon for $12....that's me.
