(More customer reviews)I tried what I thought was a good third party AC adapter to replace the one I left at a friend's house, and it was awful. It ran SUPER hot to the point where it left scorch marks on my Ethan Allen entertainment center! After a week, it smelled like burnt plastic and then it failed. It took two days for the smell to go away even after I threw it out.
I have had zero problems with this true Microsoft AC adapter, and I'd recommend it to anyone. To put this in perspective, I run Linux on my one PC and even though I run XP on the other, I run Firefox and use StarOffice. I avoid Microsoft products like the plague, but I would NEVER EVER use any AC adapter other than Microsoft's. I've seen most of them, and they are all terrible.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product while deployed. original one was fried. anyway it shipped in a timely manner, i received it 2 weeks later. when i plugged it in a got the red ring. not a good sign. while i was trouble shooting my box by using someone elses cord that i knew worked, to see if it was the cord or the box. there cord didnt work either so i was content to assume that it was my box. later in the week my buddy wanted to see if he could fix it. when he turned it on with the new cord just bought it actually started working. however the power cord adapter box makes a loud noise. i just hope it works for a year. you should know it is not a microsoft product. does not have a microsoft label and says it was made somewhere foreign. i wish i would of got an originall cord from microsoft.

(More customer reviews)I live outside of the US so I ordered a 220V power supply brick. Unfortunately, the seller sent me a 110V power supply brick. I contacted the seller and their first response was that I made a mistake. They told me they sent me a dual voltage power supply brick. This is false, because the seller doesn't even offer dual voltage power supply bricks. When I pointed this out, the seller then told me that I could mail the power supply brick back to them and THEN they would refund my money because they do not have any 220V supply bricks in stock. I couldn't believe that the seller expected me to pay for shipping again, especially since they were the ones at fault. They didn't apologize for sending me the wrong item or tell me when the could send me the item I requested and PAID for. The seller's last attempt at pacifying me was to send me postage. Well, the postage they sent was only good if the item was mailed within the US. Obviously, if I lived in the US I would've been okay with the 110V! At this point, I just decided in frustration to get a transformer. But after reading other reviews concerning this seller I'm not so sure that the power supply I received will even work. If it doesn't work I won't bother to contact the seller. It's not worth the hassle and the response time to my emails weren't answered promptly.

(More customer reviews)I got lucky when I showed up to country because the guy that lived in the CHU before me left his xbox 360. The catch? He burned out the power supply by plugging it straight into a 220v...ouch! Ordered this baby, got a power converter, and from there it was plug and play. Product works great, its basically the same one that originally comes with the 360's. No hiccups as of yet and I've had it for a couple of days. If you need a new power supply, I recommend this one for sure.
