(More customer reviews)i never really ever played any of the halo games till this one. i never thought about buying halo 3 until i saw that it was only about 5 or 6 dollars, so i bought it. it said it was the spanish editiion, and this isnt really a selling point for me, i guess thats why it was so cheap. since im mexican, i didnt really care if it was in english or spanish as i can read and understand both spanish and english. now on to the actual review. all the menus and options and stuff are all in ENGLISH. the only thing that is in spanish is the case, the manual, and the dialogue in campaign mode. the campaign also translates just about everything that is said during the campaign, especially the objectives. online is awesome. there are atleast 15 modes and not including downloadable maps, the game comes with like 12 maps and you can download 2 maps for free from the marketplace. overall, i thought i wouldnt like halo games, but now that ive played this one, im planning on getting the new one thats coming out soon. :)

Dynasty Warriors 6 Review

(More customer reviews)This is a fun game but not altogether the epic I hoped it would be. I like the new characters designs and the different fighting styles and all that. Being able to take on hundreds of people at once and rake up a thousand kills on a regular basis is pretty cool. The graphics are brilliant but, I don't know, it just seems to be missing a lot of the content that Dynasty Warriors 4 had. Not to mention characters. Not only does this game feautre no new Characters but it subtracts from those already existing. Where is Meng Huo? Not in this game. Granted I haven't unlocked every acheivement but still if he was in the game there would be a nanman level or you would see him somewhere. (And why even have a Zhuge Liang Storyline without the nanman campaign? It would be like a Robert E. Lee Story without the battle of Gettysburg. Kinda lame.)
How is it that this game has less characters than the previous version. Generally the series gets more characters as it progresses not fewer. Not only that but of the few that remain, only a handful have musou story modes which is kinda lame(sure it would probably be hard to make storylines and movies for each character but that doesn't mean I have to like it) You can play the less popular characters in free mode but it just isn't the same.I tried creating my own storyline for Yuan Shao by having him play through a bunch of free mode battles but realized I couldn't since the battle of Guan Du only has two sides in this game. Cao Cao's and Lu Bu's. (Lu Bu wtf? How did he get involved in that battle) Speaking of Lu Bu, unlocking him is the only reason to play through half of the musou modes. Some of the charcters aren't as cool as the other, in my opinion.
Getting over the characters, or lack of them, and onto the actual gameplay the game plays well. The new renbu system is interesting once you figue out what it is. Although the same basic attack, charge attack scheme is in play, charge attacks are separtate from your main attacks, meaning that you can't put together any super charge attacks like in previous games. The charge attack looks the same whether you press it first or use it as a follow up to a series of regular attacks. That means that once you get unlimited renbu you don't even need to use the charge attack. You can just hammer on the x button. The charge attack is only really useful for breaking enemies blocks. Speaking of enemies, they are a bipolar lot. On the one hand the regular enemies do almost nothing but stare at you while you hack them to pieces while the officers while hand you your buttchecks. Also certain officers will get angry and then they do tremendous damage, enough to kill you in three or four hits. When they get into this state they glow with a flame. I've come to refer to these powerhouse's as 'flamers'. When you see a deadly flamer you need to save the game unless you want to risk losing all the exp you have gained in the battle. Unlike some of the games in the series you can't save your exp from a failed attempt. Sometimes free mode is the only way to get your chosen hero past a certain point.
Really though, long story short, while I like the game I would have liked it more if more characters were in it. Maybe they will fix this when they come out with Dynasty Warriors 6: Xtreme legends.

Smash Court Tennis 3 Review

(More customer reviews)I own a few tennis games for the Xbox 360 (Top Spin 2, Top Spin 3, Virtua Tennis 3), and I have found something to love in all of them. Here are my _opinions_ on how Smash Court Tennis 3 compares with them in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay, depth (longevity), enjoyment.
Top Spin 2:
* graphics: TS2 clearly wins; sorry to say, but projected 1080p on a 92" screen, SCT3 really does look like a PS2 game, even though TS2 is years old by now
* sound: SCT3 wins by a large margin with realistic sound effects, atmospheric crowd noises
* gameplay: SCT3 wins by a large margin again thanks to its realistic game mechanic, which nicely mimics real tennis strokes and movement. TS2's gameplay just never really worked, at least for me. In fact, playing tennis in TS2 was really not enjoyable though the rest of the game: the career progression system, the mini-games, the rival, the charity events, etc. were excellent in TS2.
* depth: I'd say this is a draw. One of the things I loved about TS2 was the variety, depth and amount of things to do
* enjoyment: SCT3 is the clear winner - it's simply much more fun to play than TS2.
Virtua Tennis 2:
* graphics: VT2 has a slight edge here (see TS2 comment above), but neither VT2 nor SCT3 are graphically impressive
* sound: SCT3 sounds more realistic, but VT2 sounds more "exciting" - hard to describe why though. overall, I'd say this is a draw.
* gameplay: i love TS2's very arcade game mechanic, but I also love SCT3's more realistic mechanic. On balance, I'd have to say SCT3 gets the edge just because it is more like a real tennis game. TS2 is more like very exciting ping pong in comparison.
* depth: SCT3 has the edge here, but it's fairly close
* enjoyment: SCT3 again edges out VT2 by a small margin. SCT3 and VT2 are the most fun tennis games available.
Top Spin 3:
* graphics: TS3 is the _clear_ winner over any other tennis game. TS3 has amazing graphics with great details, 3D lighting, shading effects. Watching a TS3 match is like watching a tennis match on TV.
* sound: SCT3 easily beats TS3, which had pretty bad sound effects. The replays in TS3 are outstanding to watch.
* gameplay: SCT3 beats TS3, even though TS3 also has a very realistic game mechanic, perhaps even more realistic than SCT3. However, TS3 matches are never as much fun as SCT3. Is it because the TS3 gameplay is slowed down compared to SCT3 and VT2? I don't know, while it could be rewarding in TS3 to pull off a really elegant shot, it's just more fun in SCT3.
* depth: SCT3 easily wins here. TS3 dropped alot of the variety and depth that was in TS2.
* enjoyment: SCT3 easily wins
Hope this review helps you if you are choosing your next tennis game. At first, I was rather unimpressed with SCT3's graphics, but once I started playing it, I just "got into it" and the actual tennis matches were fun, exciting and realistic - a nice combination of my favorite bits of TS2, VT2 and TS3. The Pro Tour mode has tremendous depth and longevity. I haven't even tried playing SCT3 on Xbox Live yet as there's so much else to do in this game. At the price this game is currently selling for, you can't go wrong with this if you're looking for a great tennis game.

2 Xbox 360 Games: Lego Indiana Jones + Kung Fu Panda Review

(More customer reviews)I got these two games as a package deal with my 360 Elite. I didn't expect much out of them. I was really surprised that Kung Fu Panda was as good as it is. It has a wonderful art style, everything is colorful and vibrant. You would expect this, for it to look like the movie (which I didn't see). What I did not expect was how fun the game was to pick up and play. I didn't play it much since I gave it to my nephew but anyone around 10 years old and up should enjoy this game. I think most people have played a Lego game by now so I won't include a review of that.

Lego Batman the Videogame & Pure Review

(More customer reviews)This is the best deal I've found for 2 new(er) games in a bundle. It's great for those that bought the XBOX 360 before the current bundle came out (I got mine with Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones). PURE is tons of fun! I love race games, and this one is absolutely great. The races are challenging, and the online system is easy to get onto. There are some pretty good players out there online, so it's also very challenging. My kids (14,12,9) love the LEGO Batman game. There are not too many games out there that a parent can feel good about these days. These are 2 of the best. Highly recommend both of them and at this price, you can't beat it.
