Xbox360 Fighting Stick EX 2 - Soul Calibur 4 Limited Edition Review

Xbox360 Fighting Stick EX 2 - Soul Calibur 4 Limited Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this joystick so I could really enjoy the arcade feel of playing fighting games as well as the Xbox Live Arcade games I own. The description for the product isn't that great so I thought I would provide some more information on this product. The stick itself feels pretty responsive although it does make a clicking noise when it is pressed against the edges. I'm assuming that was done to let the player know they are successfully pulling off motions. I personally don't mind it, especially with the game volume on.
The joystick is indeed wired but it is very long so I don't see it being an issue for most people. Wireless would of been nice but I guess at least this way you have zero chance of losing a signal in a heated match (although I've never lost a signal with my normal 360 controller). The cord does have a release in case you tug too hard on it just like the older Xbox controllers. You connect the joystick via USB (flap by power button on console).
The joystick itself feels pretty sturdy and is responsive. It does not include any special features such as slow motion or turbo in case that's your thing(like the old school NES Advantage). The only reason that I have not given this joystick a full 5 rating is because the joystick is not compatible with a lot of non-fighting games. The stick is mapped to the directional pad and does not support Analog control. What this means is you can't use it for most other non-fighting games like Lost Odyssey that support movement with the analog stick. Not a big deal since I got this stick for fighting games only but I thought everyone should know.
I can't speak to it's long term durability at this time but will probably update this review in a month's time to indicate whether the stick becomes too loose or buttons become non responsive.
*Update: Well, I've been using this joystick for about a month now and it's still good as new. The stick is not loose and the buttons are still very responsive. Overall, a very nicely made joystick.

Cyborg F.L.Y. 9 Wireless Flight Stick Review

Cyborg F.L.Y. 9 Wireless Flight Stick
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great stick for playing pretty much any flight combat game on the 360. It uses Microsofts own wireless technology, so just like the controllers... you just hit the guide button and you are ready to play. It has two settings via a switch for different games. Most everything uses the A setting and only a game or two use B. The stick comes with a little plastic wrench that allows you to adjust stick height and button placement, which is really nice if you hands are bigger or smaller than the default setting.
The aesthetics(look)of the stick is slick. Better than the other two out there(Ace Edge and Madcatz older stick). The acceleration is handled by a slider towards the back of the stick, which offers a perfect amount of tension so you dont overshoot your target speed. Button placement is perfect and allows you to easily maneuver through the most difficult of tasks. The stick twists for rudder control.
Battery life is the same as Microsofts gamepads, about 20-30 hours. You cannot use charge and play battery packs with this, only AA's, as the bottom of the stick wouldnt have allowed for the extra clearance needed for them... which is just fine. The stick is stable whether on a table or in your lap. It comes with attachments for your lap that can be attached or not.
My only gripe with this stick and why it didnt get a 5, is the fact that Madcatz themselves told me that this stick had rumble feedback and unfortunately, it doesnt. I love rumble feedback in games and doing without it took a lot of getting used to. luckily, I have a transducer attached to my theater chairs to give that kick. The tension in the stick is also just a tad loose for my tastes, not terrible... but I love it tight and unfortunately, there is no way to adjust it(other than buying your own tighter spring)
Overall, it is a great stick and perfect for armchair pilots such as myself. Feedback would have made this the perfect stick. As-is though, the wireless makes up for it and creates an awesome in-game flight experience that works perfectly with every flight game on the 360.

XBOX 360 Wired - Controller in Black Review

XBOX 360 Wired - Controller in Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Let me start by saying the controler is in perfect shape, almost new condition. However it is not a Microsoft controller. It is a Mad Catz Brand. Works perfectly in my Xbox 360, however I purchased it so I could use it on my computer. Because it is an aftermarket controller, it will not work on my computer. I have a Microsoft controller and it works fine on the computer, so I know it is the controller and not the computer.
Maybe the seller should update there product description to include it is manufactured my Mad Catz, not Microsoft.
The first reason I only gave it 3 stars, is because it has large Game Stop logo stamped on the front of the controller. #2 They charged 4.95 for the shipping, and the shipping lable is for $3.28, and it was just thrown in a large envelope (I am suprised it survived the trip to my location). #3 it does not work on my computer.
After looking at the picture of the controller, if you look very close, you can see a very faint Mad Catz logo on the wing of the controller. Oh well, atleast it works perfectly in my 360, so no real loss.

Drumshhh Drum Pads for Rock Band Review

Drumshhh Drum Pads for Rock Band
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The pads work very well. They don't silence the drum pads but there is a very noticeable difference with them on. The one thing I was worried about was the gameplay being affected but the drum set responded normally. I think I actually played better because I could hear more of the song!!
Now the only question of course is how long will they last. They seem well made but they are made of felt so how much pounding can they take we'll have to see. The adhesive seems to hold on well but it wasn't difficult to take them off once. I don't think you'll be able to remove them too many times and have them stick but at least you know you aren't attaching them permanently.
So if you've been looking for a way to quiet those drums, this is a good product. I could see a better solution come along but right now these get the job done.

Xbox 360 Beat Pad Pro Review

Xbox 360 Beat Pad Pro
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The pad is comparable to the Red Octane foam pad (which is only available for PS2/Xbox, but not 36). If it weren't for the minor graphics on the Beat Pad Pro, it would be almost indistinguishable from Red Octane's pad. This pad met all my expecations for a foam pad.
Foam pads slip more than the Konami thin pad that comes with the game. If you play with 2 pads, you can tape them together with Duct-tape (3 18-inch strips work nicely). With 2 pads taped together, they won't really move, even on the most violent songs.
Foam pads have a couple other advantages over soft pads. First, the arrows are elevated, so you can feel their location with your feet (if you play in socks or barefoot). This lets you play without looking down - in no time at all, you'll be able to tell when you are drifting off center by feel.
Another advantage of foam is that it is padded. X360 Universe has notably more jumps than other versions of this game, and the foam will reduce stress on your calves. If you aren't yet in super shape, this will make it easier to play for long periods of time.
Note that this pad is only usable on the X360. If you want a soft pad for either PS2 or Xbox (old), look for a Red Octane foam pad.

Ezjam Guitar Review

Ezjam Guitar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The only real reason I got this wireless was for the smaller buttons. I have a hard time playing the older GH games that don't sync with the Rockband controller so this looked like a good idea. The green color was disappointing, since it claims to be "metallic" but definitely IS NOT. It's basically just cheap green plastic.
The item description also doesn't mention you MUST have a WIRED 360 controller to hook this thing up to your console.
Another problem I found with it is that it has issues deploying star power and I found that frustrating because it was a good way to miss notes while trying to get the thing to register it was tilted upward.
Overall, I would avoid this product it you're just looking to get it for the color or wireless option. If you don't have problems with the bigger buttons, there are much better wireless guitars out there.

The ezGear ezJam Guitar Controller for XBOX 360 is the perfect addition for Guitar Hero III or Rock Band Game. Whether you have just the Guitar Hero Game and need a great guitar, or you have a guitar and want a second, you can't go wrong with the ezJam. The ezJam Guitar is also perfect for small hands. If you find that your hands are too small for the Guitar that comes with your game, the ezJam is perfect for you. Women with small hands prefer the S10's small keys and kids find it much easier to play the 5 smaller frets of the ezJam over standard frets.

Xbox 360 Charge Station 360 - Black Review

Xbox 360 Charge Station 360 - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I read reviews on the white version of this product for the standard Xbox 360, and most of them were quite bad.
I will say I just received this product, so this review is not made after long-term testing. HOWEVER, the issues made with the other version of this product were generally "out of the box" issues with LED's not lighting, the charger not properly charging batteries, and the batteries not working in the controllers.
I had none of these problems when I opened this package and set everything. The charger has multi-led's which show red when charging, green when "almost charged," and they go out when the batteries are ready. I put both batteries in right away and plugged the unit it. Both lights blinked through the settings, then went red. After about 3 hours, both lights were out. I snapped a battery into the controller and proceeded to game throughout the day without any issues. I'm anxious to see how long they'll hold a charge.
I was a little concerned with fit and finish - they seemed a smidge tight to snap into the controller, but not enough to worry me. Hopefully these will work out just fine.
If I can edit or add a review after further testing, I'll be sure to do so.UPDATE - December 3rd, 2008.
I've now had these for almost exactly one year. I'm sure if I compared usage to a year ago, I might realize that the batteries don't last quite as long between chargings, but honestly I don't realize it - if that's even true. I feel like I charge them more often now, but I also play more often now - so it's probably the same.
These have held up VERY well - have gone flying a few times (while still attached to a controller, of course) and are still playing away. I've replaced two controllers - still have the same batteries!
If and when these things ever wear out, I'll be looking for another set.

Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue Review

Xbox 360 Pad EX 2 with Turbo - Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ok for a while now I needed another controller badly, so I went to gamestop and bought one of theirs to tide me over. That was a big mistake, it had more problems straight out of the box then I had ever seen in a controller. So I started looking around and have always wanted to try a Hori pad. So I found this little gem and compared it to the other pad that is about 20 dollars more then this one.
I can say I have gotten my money's worth with this controller. Just forget about the other one, it's just not worth it.
Lets look at the pro's
Pros:
Great design. This thing feels good and sturdy in your hand and once you get use to the 2 bumper buttons on the side( I seemed to always want to press them instead of B, or Y untill I was use to them)you will feel right at home. Also the sticks pop back into place nicely and have texture on the top so your thumbs dont slip off. And don't forget the D-pad, this is probably one of the best D-pads I have used in a long time, responsive, textured and just fits real nice on your thumb, Good job Hori!
Sensativity adjustment for the sticks: This is a nice feature although it does not change them a lot I could tell the difference.
Turbo button: This is awesome!!! You can use this button to make any one of the buttons have a turbo feature which offers 3 different settings, and allows you to use more then one button as turbo.
Fighting fans love the Lb and RB: This of course makes fighting games all the better when you have the buttons lined up for weak mid and strong attacks, so this set up makes it all the easier.
Xbox live mics sound real good: This was a problem for me, since one of my major complaints was that with cheaper controllers and ones that were corded, My mic always sounded like their was a buzzing or hissing noise. With the Hori, I am heard loud and clear with no interferance at all.
price: come on this thing is cheap compared to alot of controllers out their especially if it is from MS. I know it is corded and wireless controllers are great and all, but I am never really more then 10 feet away while playing so it does not bother me at all to have a cord.
The only thing I really don't like about this controller is the ugly Xbox insignia in the middle of the controller, it's just plain ugly to look at and isn't quite as big as on a ms controller.
Something to take note of to also is the ABXY buttons are a little smaller since the LB and RB buttons are on the face now, but it really is not a bad thing and only after a couple hours of play with this bad boy I was use to it.
Last thing is I have only used the controller for FPS games like borderlands, Gears 2 and modern Warfare 2. I saw in a lot of the reviews saying this controller was not real good for FPS. I can't agree with that. After I got use to the design of the controller I was pulling off head shots, and placing grenades right where I wanted them to be. It worked perfectly!!!

Xbox 360 Turbo Fire 2 Wireless Controller with Rumble Review

Xbox 360 Turbo Fire 2 Wireless Controller with Rumble
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Recommended additional accessory: We strongly recommend also picking up the, Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers by Total Control, available on amazon for about $5. You can find them here: Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers ' Xbox 360/PS3. The reason being is because of the dome shape of the Analog Sticks can cause you to lose your grip. These little silicone covers work wonders at correcting this issue, and you get two sets for $5. They are also universal so if you have the PS3 version of this controller, they'll work just as well. They are also Made in America, always a good thing.UPDATE #8: We purchased a 2nd Turbofire2 controller from amazon.com mid-March 2011 and DATEL has made a few changes. Firstly, the controller is out of the box updated to firmware version 1.73 (current as of this posting). The Feature 1 button has been automatically pre-programmed to the Turbo feature that has the various 8 speed settings (read manual or rest of review on how to adjust). Feature button 1 hasn't been programmed to anything. In addtion, the packaging has been simplified from the overlly annoying clamshell they used previously. It comes in a simple plastic box with a cardboard covering and would easily be classied as part of Amazon's "Frustration Free Packaging" as you don't need any scissors or anything else to remove the controller or it's contents. Which is REALLY nice, good job Datel! You still also get the USB cable (for connecting to PC) and the Instruction Manual.UPDATE #7: February 2011, The lastest update to the Customizer software includes additional preset macros for various Xbox 360 video games. You still cannot progrm your own macros.
The full preset macro game list as of the latest software update released mid Feb 2011 is:
Afro Samurai
Blazing Angels
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
GTA IV
GTA IV: TBoGT
GTA IV: TLAD
NBA JAM
Star Wars: Force unleashed
Star Wars: Force Unleashed II
Super Street Fighter IV
LEGO Batman: The Videogame
Mortal Kombat VS DC UniverseUPDATE #6: Datel has updated the Customizer Software to include Preset Macros for several Xbox 360 video games including, Blazing Angels, NBA Jam, Super Street Fighter IV, and LEGO Batman: The Video Game. You are still NOT able to create your own Macros, only use the preset ones made available within the Customizer software.
UPDATE #5: Added a link to a PDF of the User Guide for the Customizer Software to the Customizer "Discussion Thread" found at the bottom of the product page.
UDPATE #4: We recently got the Turtle Beach X41 Ear Force X41 (XBOX LIVE Chat + Wireless Digital RF Game Audio with Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound) wireless gaming headset and the microphone included with this headset is incompatible with this controller. The Xbox 360 acts as if there is no microphone connected to the controller. This has also been confirmed to be an issue on several other models of Turtle Beach headsets. This may be isolated to just the Turtle Beach brand, but may also affect other gaming headsets where you get the in game sound coming through the headset as opposed to a tv or surround system. This controller is compatible with OEM and 3rd party Xbox Live headsets used for Xbox Live voice communication.
UPDATE #3: Check out the upcoming macro function in action at "TheFNGspot" on Youtube. They are apparently going to offer game specific macros that enable cheats and complex button tasks at the push of a button. Pretty cool!
UPDATE #2: With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Datels has updated the Customizer software to include a Turbo setting specifically designed for the game's zombie Mode. The 2nd to highest setting on that works well. They also include a Halo Reach controller setting remapping for Black Ops that lets you use the controller layout from Halo Reach. Since it's a full program update, you can download the latest version straight off of Datel's web site.
UPDATE #1: The Customizer Software has been updated to include the Full Custom Remapping option as well as Trigger and Analog Stick sensitivity options. Firmware version 1.73 released October 15, 2010. Update your software and the controllers firmware to take advantage of these additional features. So DATEL went back to the drawing board after the fallout of Microsoft's lawsuit against them for the design of the original Turbofire (Wildfire). Obviously, the design and color scheme of the Turbofire2 (Wildfire2) is a result of Datel's resolution with Microsoft regarding the likeness of their original design to that of an OEM Xbox 360 controller. If you've used the previous Datel Turbofire (Wildfire) controllers then you should be very familiar with this newest model. Although there are several added features as well as some improvements.
Most notably, they have fixed the audio static (feedback) problem present on both the wired and wireless models of the original Turbofire (Wildfire). We haven't had any complaints about any buzzing, echoing, or any other audio issues when using our wired headset with the Turbofire2 (Wildfire2). We also tested this out ourself by recording and playing back a voice message over Xbox Live. As expected, all we heard was our voice. This is definitely a worthwhile improvement over the original models.
The controller feels good in the hands and doesn't have a learning curve. Although we are use to using a varity of different controllers from different manufacturers (Microsoft, Madcatz, Pelican, Datel, and Hori) so you may need a little bit to get use to the controller depending on your own experience. The buttons and layour are nearly identical to the previous Turbofire (Wildfire) model with the exception of the design of the guide, start and back button wihch are irregularlly shaped, but that doesn't affect gameplay.
The top of the Analog Sticks are now domed shaped rather than concave as they were on the previous model and most other Xbox 360 controllers. This is most likely yet another change to comply with Microsoft. Your thumbs might slip around a bit if they are sweaty, but you should always wipe you hands every now and then regardless of the controller's design. If it's a problem for you, the "Grip-It" or "KontrolFreek" accessories work well with the sticks on this controller, as should other similar accessories designed to improve your grip with an Xbox 360 controller.
As with the previous model, the triggers and bumpers are about twice the size giving you amble coverage for your fingers. With the battery pack installed the controller is comparable in weight to an OEM Microsoft wireless Xbox 360 controller. The D-pad should be fine with most games.
One issue with have with this controller is the placement of the sync button on the back of the controller adjacent to the battery pack cover. Our left index finger has a tendency to hit this button causing the controller to go out of sync with the Xbox 360 console. Thus requiring us to hit the sync button on the Xbox 360 console. This can become a problem during gameplay as you will be temporarily unable to use the controller until it resyncs to the Xbox 360 console. This can be avoided by keeping your index finger on the battery pack and may not even be an issue depending on the size of your hands.
The controller is powered by two AA batteries (not included) and comes with a empty battery pack case, for the AA batteries. The battery pack attaches to the controller much like any other Xbox 360 wireless controller. A microUSB cable is included that allows the controller to be connected to a PC for use with the Customizer software program. This software is not included with the controller and can be downloaded from Datel's codejunkies web site via the Support section. You will get prompted for a firmware update upon use of the software when you have connected your controller. We had no issues installing and using this software with our controller on a Windows 7 64 bit computer. If you do, then you might want to try running as Administrater and/or adjusting the Compatibility settings. Otherwise, try reinstalling the controller by removing it from the installed devices in "Device Manager". Once again, Windows identified and properlly installed the controller when we connected it to our computer.
PLEASE NOTE: Use of the Customizer software removes the original settings of the controller, including the Mode 1-3 turbo speeds. However, you can assign the "Turbo On/Off" feature in the software to either of the two "Feature" buttons on the controller to regain the turbo ability. However, it doesn't work the same way, as it's not setup like it is out of the packaging. You no longer have three modes, but rather one setting that can be adjusted by pressing the "Feature" button that is connected to the "Turbo On/Off" and then moving the "Right Analog Stick" up or down to increase or decrease the speed of the turbo. There appears to be eight separate speeds indicated by the flashing of the LEDs on the controller so it is an improvement over the original three speeds. Datel doesn't release the actual per minute speeds of their turbo controllers but the higher speeds are comparable to that of other turbo controllers that we have used for the Xbox 360. Depending on what game you are playing, one of the eight speeds may be preferred and/or functional. We have found that the second to highest speed works well in most games.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Review

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
Average Reviews:

If you've got an XBox 360, you really need to get your hand on one or two wireless controllers. These controllers are GREAT for keeping your gaming area free of clutter. To start with, the controller is much smaller than the standard XBox controller was.
For control items, you start with the standard blue X, yellow Y, red B and green A buttons. There are two thumbsticks, one on the upper left and one in the center right. There is also a directional (d-pad) in the lower left. Next, you have a pair of shoulder buttons at the "top" of the unit, up above the other buttons. You also have a pair of triggers below those shoulder buttons.
Finally, you have a center X button that can be used to turn the console on and off, plus a "start" and "back" tiny white buttons on either side of it.
The unit has a rechargeable battery unit inside it, the size of two AA batteries. You have to buy a recharger set SEPARATELY that lets you charge up while you play. In essence you plug the charger into the back of the controller - and the other end into the USB port in the front of the XBox 360 unit. So you play with the controller "wired" as it charges up. When it's fully charged again, you just pop off the wire and keep playing.
The range of the wireless unit is 30', which is probably much further than anybody is really going to even try playing a game at. The wireless is much easier on your hand - no cable holding you down - plus it's a great help in keeping your gaming area organized. You can easily pass the controller from person to person, and visitors can come and go without tripping over wires.
The documentation says you can get 40 hours of gameplay between charges, but if you have features such as vibration on, that sucks the time down to maybe 8-10 hours. It's up to you of course - I personally like having vibration on because it is often important for gameplay to get those warning signals.
Still, even if I have to plug the cables in every 10 hours or so to give it a juice boost, I still love wireless!! Highly recommended.

Xbox 360 Rapid Fire Wireless Controller Review

Xbox 360 Rapid Fire Wireless Controller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is probably the only review that ACTUALLY covers what this controller does. This controller is a modified xbox 360 controller that uses a microcontroller that simulates pulling the trigger at an extremely high rate. Well, if you bought one, it does what it is supposed to do:make you shoot faster. For example, if you have a semi-automatic weapon (one shot per trigger pull, i.e. G3, M21, M9), essentially the modification will allow the user to shoot as if the weapon were full-auto. It doesn't seem to work with already automatic guns. It increases the recoil of semi-auto weapons and thus lowers accuracy, but it is easier to aim due to the fact that you do not have to focus on pulling the trigger and instead concentrate on aim. A good example is the M21 with rapid fire. Although you have minor recoil, it is insignificant to the extent where you can basically empty a clip into an opponent's general direction and usually will net a kill due to the fact that each bullet is almost a one-shot kill and probably one of the ten bullets will hit the target (as long as you're scoped in).
Sure, it makes you shoot fast at godly speeds (usually the maximum the game allows). The deal here though is that even though it is "cheating", it isn't something you can get banned for. Personally, I only use my rapid fire for offline play against friends for laughs. For the parents: It might make your kid smile at first, but after they try it on Xbox live, other players will start dropping the F-bomb and n-word against your child. BTW, don't listen to the people who call this cheating and will get you banned. It is undetectable, but people will get mad at you and file complaints against you for stupid reasons, enough of which WILL get you banned.
Edit: COD5 has a patch that sets a limit on rate of fire, so certain modifications are not compatible with this game.

This is an Xbox 360 white Wireless controller which has been modified with a microcontroller to make it have rapid fire. This controller has dual rapid fire on it which means both the R and L buttons can be used with the rapid fire function. When pressing one of the buttons I installed on the controller, the controller will press the L or the R button up to 15 times per second which will give you a great advantage in games which use either L and R to fire weapons.
